Ok,

So they are dead pretty, and like O'man I am jealous. So where is the size comparison to a standard unit. I am wavering about adding Knights to my existing titans, but need the info on whether they will compare in size or look to small. Any links would be appreciated, and an idea of trade value.

Cheers
Aaron

The Paladins are a little (5-6mm) taller than the GW plastics. I'll take a photo and upload it here.

Those Wardens look nice but I'm really concerned about the thin arms on them breaking easily.

And the gun barrels. But I think both could be replaced with brass or plastic rod quite easily.

Size comparison photo:

The chevalier is on a thinner base so it's only a few millimetres taller than the plastic model.

subscribed. I have re-based 7 knight paladins just yesterday, so I am also curious how someone else is getting along with a knight army.

WOW, those knights are friggen awesome.

CAL was kind enough to donate some knights to my epic collection as I didn't have enough to make up some of the lancer and errant formations. These (new?) proxies certainly look like they mix in quite nicely and would probably help a lot of struggling knight collectors out. I like the less gothic and more robotic feel.

Please continue with progress updates.

Thanks for the comparison photo. I assumed these were a lot bigger. Brilliant stuff.

They fit perfectly with the plastic very impressive. It is a pity I already have thousands of plastics :S

I spent some time yesterday stripping the paint off of the Knight models, which had spent the previous week soaking in Dettol.

This afternoon I’ve been reassembling and basing the models. The first model I dealt with was the Baron, the Knight HQ unit.

I’ve never been very keen on this model. The banner pole it had made it look very tall and gangly. But I’m really pleased with the new incarnation:

Image

I’ve ditched the banner pole, gave the torso a twist (I used a razor saw to cut the torso away from the hip, then pinned and reattached) and altered the stance of the legs. This makes the model much more dynamic. It also worked really well for some Errants.

Although there’s only a single Errant design, adjusting the legs and torso means that each model has a unique pose.

More pics below.

Here are all the Knights I’m going to be painting. The old models were all stripped, reassembled and rebased. There were a few breakages among the plastic Paladins but most could be repaired pretty easily.

I’ve also stripped and rebated all the robots. The next step is to add texture to the bases, and then they can be undercoated!

No kiding this is fantastic. Is there a viable list that can incorporate them all in a battle as an army?

I currently only play NetEpic, in which you can field all these in a single army:

Company Card: Paladin Household
Special Card: Baron
Support Cards:
1x Errant Squadron
1x Castellan Squadron
1x Crusader Squadron

Company Card: Paladin Household
Special Card: none, or a titan
Support Cards:
1x Paladin Squadron
1x Crusader Squadron
1x Warden Squadron

As mentioned previously, I also have Robots to bulk out the support units (I'm going to create a couple of special Legio Cybernetica company cards as well).
