Truth. If only I knew who it was I'd reward them as they deserve.

Maybe a smack for being cheeky.

I don't know if the planes are a work in progress, but a little highlighting on the panels and sharp edges would work wonders. It's hard to rely on washes alone for creating an illusion of depth and even a couple of only slightly lighter highlights would make a big difference.

The Lightnings are more or less finished, but the Marauder needs work. I may drybrush the Marauder and see if the Lightnings need it.

What about this?

I think I will go back over the Lightnings with a drybrush; the difference is subtle, but noticable.

*Edit* - For any muppets that are counting, that's twice they were right. It had better not happen a third time. ;)

Getting my TBolts to the point where I was happy with them was painful. I ended up stripping them at one point and it's still noticeable now that they're "done". The FW stuff is gorgeous but I've found you really have to take you're time with them.

The canopies look great, and the drybrush definitely helps as the muppet said it would :P. Using the black wash just in the panel lines brings a lot of contrast as well too.

alright alright, I'll shut up :) Seriously though, picking flaws in other peoples painting is way easier than doing any of your own painting...

the problem I find with FW stuff (the little of it that I have) is that the relief details are so shallow that they don't take much wash or pick up much dry brushing. Deliberately blending the panels works well, but it's a ton of work.

Matt I think you should change your avatar to Statler or Waldorf.

The good news is if I want to get this done for Adepticon, I need to meet the 500pt/mo. goal. The bad news is I've not left much room for error.

they're my favourite Muppet characters by a long shot (I'd happily stuff Miss Piggie into the garbage disposal though), so:

Bravo, bravo!

Why are you yelling bravo? Did you like it that much?

Nope; friend of mine, Joe Bravo, he's sitting in the front row. Bravo!

Suggestions? Aside from go easier on the black highlighting next time. I caught that already.

White Primer, Desert Yellow base, and Gryphonne Sepia wash. That's it.

Maybe Devlan Mudd in the recesses? I wouldn't do it over the whole model as that would tint it towards too dark.
