I haven’t looked at the list in depth, but the main idea sounds great, and distinguishes them nicely from the lists with Imperial Knights. Where I have some concerns is with the characters. The Chaos Scion Lord for 25pt is adding a good gun, Inspiring, and Augmented Summoning (2d3). In other lists, ...

It’s intentional, part of the balancing act for giving them a 5+ Invulnerable on top of 4+ Reinforced.

That definitely sounds worth a try in a few games.

For Contagions, note that garrisoning them (usually off the Blitz objective) is fairly standard as it allows you to reach into the enemy Deployment Zone from the start of the game.

As some of you have heard, the fan-rewrite of Epic 40k/3rd edition is going very well, and I thought it would be a good idea to have an updates thread on the forum! Epic 40k Compendium In terms of making Epic 40k vastly more accessible, MeBrainBeDrained compiled all of the available Epic 40k rules, ...

Bear in mind that this is just a discussion of the Redux list - any changes to units that are in other existing lists (notably the standard LatD list) is going to require creating a new uniquely-named variant of that unit.

For what it’s worth, TLoS is much more widespread than just the Australian meta. I was pretty shocked when I went to my first EpicUK tournament and got told that TLoS wasn’t being used.

Outside of tournaments, locally we use a hybrid version and let tall units see over lower terrain.

I never got around to fielding the redux list (too many factions and other systems, not enough gaming time!), but I can at least comment on the units that are also in Death Guard. Plague Towers I tried these at 20 cm Speed in the DG list and it made them a bit too effective. Both due to being able t...

No changes planned, except for corrections and bringing all the Chaos stuff in-line with one another.

Does that include bringing the Plague Tower Speed back down to 15 cm?

My group has individuals who only want to play 30k, those who only want to play 40k and the rest who would like to play both. It would be convenient if we could all seamlessly transition between eras without having to worry about point balance, different rules and other deviations. I don’t think th...

So a couple of my opponents asked me to try and clarify how Teleport Homers are intended to work. They were concerned it seemed a little too powerful, being able to teleport in formations after the strategy phase and in the middle of the turn with rerolls for blast markers. Hmm. This is the first t...

Having seen the GW releases for their Ork War engines from the times when Armorcast made them to the times when GW and Forgeworld made them. Using that knowledge, the Gorknaughts are larger than a DeffDredd or a MegaDredd, The Stompa is definately larger than a Gorkanught, and the Gargant/slasha ga...

Roughly speaking, 40k Gorkamorkanauts = Epic Stompas. 40k Stompas = Epic Supa Stompas or even Slasha Gargants (they're roughly in between the two). It depends on what you use as comparison. Using wh40k Warhounds and Epic ones ... Background wise, more or less: they use Gargants' with a mix of piece...

'It can drop three barrage templates of bombs directly beneath itself as it moves.'

I always read that as being per turn, and would expect much more restrictive wording if it was limited to three for the whole game.
