The infantry horde is generally considered stronger that the brute (AV) horde yes, though there have been some surprising results with massed brutes, especially where there's lots of ruins on the table as they ignore the traditional penalties with vehicle heavy builds - they are able to spend all th...

For epic armageddon you could check out the Epic UK site, which has lists used at UK tournaments going back several years. They use the Epic UK army list but should give you an idea.

Others will likely be more useful, it has been a very long time since I played Epic 40K (3rd edition - I assume you're referring to this version as that's this subforum). But since I am here first... I do remember that Dominatrix were limited, you could only take a max of one per 2000 points. The mo...

I think it was clear that WoV is intended to be a self contained game (I would not say "sampler") and it does do that, i.e. the game can serve the board game audience as well as the miniature gaming crowd. I just agree with Blip that if you ARE in the latter category then it is not a smoot...

My starter box arrived today, have assembled a thunderbolt which IMO is well designed. There are two nose section sub-assemblies for each model (regular and fury) plus 2 pairs of each underwing weapon per model, enough to have all of the same type or any mix. So you can make any combination of optio...

It's a bit annoying that the bombers dont do anything until you buy the expansion. But still, I think I'd probably buy it to play with my son if he were just a bit older. The style is a bit less, well, grim and dark than the rest of 40K but think it's probably a bit too complicated for 8. my lad wa...

* AI and AT are 1/4 scale of Warhammer 40K - the scale is consistent - Space Marine is 8mm and normal human is 6mm Wait, AT is 6mm after all??? Does the combination of both parts of the sentence make sense though? That would make a human in 40K 24mm tall, which it is definitely not. And 40K marine ...

Yes I think Dan means "counts as DC for locking [units] in [it]" (i.e. two warhound units is not enough to lock a gorgon). There are really several parts to the rule that could be ruled on separately: a) how many units a WE counts as for locking units inside transports b) how many units a ...

Activations, activations, activations. Turn 1 will probably be mostly stalling, hit-n-run popups and staying out of sight. Don't be too tempted to over extend falcons to get some shots off on a double leaving them open to retaliation - even a BM is useful against guard - he will fail some activation...

I did google kestrel and came up only with a hornetish-sized double-scythed hull tank with a pulse laser.

Is the weapon not just a sonic cannon? Prosaic though it may be, not many of the weapons have funny names like 'wailing doom' and 'death spinner'. Some are just called pulse lasers :)

Unless they can figure out how to make infantry and tank models work like titans (one body + options) I can't see it happening to any great degree, there are far too many SKUs needed to satisfy people, and at that point it is a huge time sink for modellers that competes directly with 40K for wallet-...

I still think infantry and tanks is much harder at army scale, I can see a few select units making an appearance as part of one of the other games (e.g. flak tanks for AI as there were before, super heavies in AT2018)

I notice the Into the Breach date is now up on the Epic UK site, I assume it's finalised now? I plan to attend with season ticket. For the benefit of others, note the different Dark Sphere location compared to previous years. Also I stupidly procrastinated too long and now there are no rooms left at...
