Just a thought here but how about adding 'Lance' to the CC ability of banshees? This would mean they are better at cracking troops with RA (such as termies) without making them too strong against non-RA troops (which giving them MW would). Just a thought. Or even..... Infiltrator AND lance....??? Li...

Hi Chroma I'm dusting off my Eldar after a break of about two years (been using nids and playing ancients instead). Was going to give Ulthwe a run out so downloaded the new draft Eldar Army compendium. This may already have been pointed out to you or indeed you may have already spotted it but on pag...

Had a 2.7K battle tonight using Chroma's suggested changes (Ravener 4+ CC, 6+ FF and gaunts rounded up. My opponent used Orks and we had some really close assaults - exciting stuff. Again apologies if the answers are elsewhere but the current rules don't make it clear whether Nid LVs can claim cover...

Hi all After a couple of years off epic our small gaming group is once again dusting off the old figures and about to embark on a new campaign starting this weekend when six of us will do battle. I'm planning on using my nids so will use v9.2.1 for the first time in anger. Couple of quick questions ...

Hiya all I play both warmaster and warmaster ancients. The thing is that the ancient rules are (in my opinion) better than the regular warmaster rules. I really like rules such as the enveloping flank charge, the supporting charge and the two rounds max of melee. I am thinking of taking some of thes...

Hiya I'm going to give these changes a go later today against an Eldar player (2K battle). I have just gone through and noted the unit changes in my printed out list but am a little puzzled by the following change.. Zoanthrope: Change to Brood (3). In 9.0 it already is Brood (3) - so where's the cha...

Hiya The following came up in a battle recently between my 9.0 nids against a combined force of IG and AMTL. My Hydraphant managed to engage with an IG company (nice for me!) and I chose to intermingle a Warhound that was within 5cm of the company but some distance from my 'phant. After countercharg...

I've not tried 9.0 yet but I'm hoping to get my first game in this weekend against my wife's cousin (who will be using Eldar). OrkyBob and I will definitely be using 9.0 in a couple of weeks time when we join forces for a 6k battle against a combined force of AMTL, IG and SM. A Batrep WILL follow! I...

Great effort on the new list guys!! Hopefully this will kickstart the nid board again and get us all playing our bugs again! Orkybob and I are planning on combining our nid armies soon to take on the rest of our group. Before we do I'll test out the new list and post some feedback. Once again - than...

Chroma - have you through about giving us a deadline? Give us say until the end of June to provide feedback on the current 4 lists - after which you will carry out a full review and spew out an all new list. It just feels kind of open ended and a bit directionless at the moment and the lack of numbe...

I second Zombocon's view on this.

Really we do need just ONE list to be playtesting.

The current situation not only causes problems for tournaments but its actually putting people off playtesting the nids so development has ground to a halt.

Orky, bring your bugs, I'll dust off my old Eldar and give you a battle. It will be interesting to see what its like facing bugs for once.

Okay I have a couple of gaming weekends in the diary and our little group are about to launch into another campaign. All of which means I need to decide which list to use for my bugs. The bug forum has been really quiet of late and I suspect this is partly because there are 4 lists out there (3 vari...

Sad news indeed - Basic D&D (and the AD&D) brought a group of us together back in the early 80's that form the core of the gaming group I still play with today!!

RIP Gary.
