Forum: Tactical Command Updates   Topic: Please Can Someone Move some Topics

As per the subject title. The topics in question are listed below, along with the board to which they need to be moved. I used the report button two weeks ago to ask for said topics to be moved, but since nothing has happened, I can only assume that reports are not being generated. Here is the list:...

I've always played it in the same way as you. I didn't think that it was possible to move through allied models. Assuming that I'm correct, I see no need to change it.

For second edition Epic, which is where this model and its rules are from originally, GW produced different templates for many of its models, especially those which used flame templates. The Nova Cannon though was, I'm pretty sure, but again I'm going from memory like many here, a circular template....

You're welcome :). Second edition Epic is my favourite GW game of all time, so I'm glad that others are still playing it.

I've replied to this rules question in the original topic, but Magnus, as always, has made the point more eloquently than me. Whether you're playing second edition (like me) or NetEpic, combined barrages can only be conducted by the same detachment (i.e. the models will be the same). The Artillery C...

Great report - me and my brother are looking to get into SM2 - Random question but how hard is it to play (I’m about a mid level gamer). Thanks, Rob. I started playing when I was around eleven or twelve and I didn't find it difficult to learn at all, in terms of the rules. In terms of strategy and ...

It says that broken troops must also take a morale check at the start of close combat segment if they are engaged in close combat: Is this in addition to the morale test they would have presumably already taken? Yes, so if a unit is broken, but passes its morale check as a result of having been bro...

The combined barrage is resolved separately for each unit in the company, so you would fire the barrage of Basilisk unit one first, followed by the same for Basilisk unit two, and then the sole barrage from the three Bombards (or the other way around if you prefer). You don't combine the barrage fro...

Since movement occurs before first fire, you cannot charge and first fire in the same turn because by the time the first fire phase begins, any commander will already be in base-to-base contact, at which point the rules for close combat take precedence. If the commander is simply moving into a posit...

As one of those die hard long-time players, I definitely do not want to see this rule changed and I especially do not want to see any 40K system of rules introduced. 40K has, relative to Epic, very clunky and complex rules which I would strongly advise us never to emulate. The current rule as it sta...

That's a fantastic resource, thank you for putting it together. It's making me all nostalgic for when I used to play Space Marine regularly throughout the 1990s and the early 2000s. Thank you for sharing this with us and I will be sure to read through as many of the reports as I can.

They all have their merits. What's awesome is we can play 3 (4 really) games with a single collection of models. That's plain rad. Exactly. I can play Space Marine second edition/Titan Legions, Net Epic Gold, or Epic Armageddon, depending on whichever takes my fancy. I prefer Space Marine or Net Ep...

I stick with the rules as they were originally written on this. It's one of the downsides of playing Chaos, but there are plenty of upsides too. If you want to mechanise your Chaos Space Marines, it is, therefore, going to cost you support cards, but it can be worth it, especially to get them into t...

Primarch, thank you for all your efforts and leadership of the project over the years. You've done so much to keep Net Epic alive. I, for one, have appreciated all your efforts.

Magnus, welcome to your new role and congratulations on taking the helm.

Primarch hit the nail on the head for me. I've played Epic Space Marine since second edition and I like the stability offered by Net Epic Gold. I've been one of the most vocal here in wanting to keep it the same and never did see the need for the Platinum version, but it wasn't, and still isn't, for...
