Wondered if some vets could fill in some detail on the transition from Epic40k and EpicA ... As i understand it the Epic40k rules were...

Precinctomega dropped me a copy of Battle Group the other day and i think the best complement i can say is that i immediately went out and bought MechaWar and AirFrame (£2 - last of the big spenders!) It all looks very nice, easy to follow and professional (not to mention a bargain! :-) IMHO the rul...

I'm with you on the quick and easy ! Wish i had the time/patience for the mini dioramas often shown around these parts but someone would only put their coffee mug on one mid game anyway :-) I'm also for high contrast basing - tactically crazy of course but i want to both see my paint job and be able...

Thanks guys. Moscovian - yep we were aware of these kind of situations - where a unit which has previously activated can still lend support in an assault. This only seemed a small step further - small units flocking towards a significant leader who then leads them in a charge in their own activation...

Been on a bit of a 6 month epic-sabbatical ; partly real life took over for a while (house restoration), and partly my gaming group went on an unexpected trip down memory lane with a Necromunda campaign. Quietly I've been keeping on with slowly painting Eldar and it's finally paying off as I'm getti...

Yeah, just troll back that historical wargamers have no imagination or creativity - they even need picture books to tell them what colour paints to use. They like that. :-p

(Just like to point out i do/have play historical as well as sci-fi, fantisy, modern and alt history games - all good.)

Wow ! Very nice. Very surprised Hawk are giving these away for free - certainly wasn't cheep to produce and surely cuts into sales of their forthcoming terrain sets...?! Would have thought there was some value in selling pro-printed versions via already set up online store for those who can't/don't ...

Wow, like those wraithlords. Are they 1st Ed SM ? And i thought i was old enough to remember most things ! :D Amazing how far Jez Goodwin was ahead of the curve - back when much of the epic range were boxes with barrels these could almost have been sculpted yesterday (i'm assuming he sculpted these ...
