if you're not realistically going to paint and use it, and don't feel immediate panic when you consider flogging it, I'd suggest sitting on it for a few months, perhaps lay the force out and see whether it inspires you or not, and if you don't feel any different after that time, sell it and buy new ...

I find that they tend to be very good for forcing an opponent's hand, by moving and placing a unit in their ZOC, that unit either has to engage, or move out of the ZOC, it can be very useful to stop units engaging your own vulnerable units, or stopping a timely sustain fire action! as they're infilt...

TBH I think there are laws against offering stuff for sale which is not in stock, especially when it was not advertised that it was going out of stock, they are probably legally obliged to attempt to fulfill orders if the customer does not want a refund, and this is probably why they've done some ca...

wish I could afford it/force the wife to take the weekend off work to babysit....

sadly I've used up all my good will towards wargming from the missus, and thanks to GW pulling the plug, spent up about a year's worth of hobby budget in a few short weeks

Most of the succesful marine lists in the UK scene tend to have a pair of warhounds, very useful for clearing ground flak and providing macro shots....also bullet magnets and distraction purposes! I would say that the advice given to me when facing eldar is to deal with ground flak (especially fire ...

Ork village would be cool, as would a twisty wizards tower, alchemists lab with loads of exploded/burnt bits and patching up? dark ages style village complete with gallows, stocks, ducking stool and the like Tree-fort type terrain for wood elven types? those are some of my ideas, but yes I very much...

I'd also drop the captain in the tacs, if they're not going in to the main engagements, the commander ability will be of limited use, either a chaplain (for the +1 combat res) or librarian for the extra MW FF attack would be better choices

I am not sold on whirlwinds, they need to sustain to be at their most effective, yet this tends to leave them quite exposed as the other marine units are very fluid..... Against eldar, it's very wise to try and nobble their AA early on, they have a lot of it and it's very effective (although if usin...
