And I was hoping that it was a Lifta-Droppa to lift the guy up from behind the matress.

It rhymed with heretic, no doubt.
The saruthi was an hommage to Lovecraft. It featured non-Euclidan geometry and weird angles as well. I loved them, it was one of the better takes on the Cthulhu mythos, in the 40K universe as well.

Wasn't that the strange Cthulhu-inspired race. It fits that bill perfectly, anyway. If you went Cthulhu in 6mm, I would be all over your place. Disturbing symmetries of alien design; Elder Things.

I like it as a general outline. I would recommend the Hyperion series by Dan Simmons for further inspiration. I think that it is one of the better novels dealing with run-away AI, especially since you also are thinking of going "parasite" with them. Truly alien aliens is hard to do. Otherw...

With Apocalypse and the Forgeworld Heresy range, they are quite busy transferring the Epic concept into 28mm, almost vacuuming it for inspiration. I doubt they will ever return to 6mm. /Fredmans I think the current proliferation of large models in 40k is actually working against the game. Fliers ma...

I think using them as Landing Craft is common enough, as is using Ork Bombas as Landas. Where are the rules for the Bommers? I mean, I assume some rules do exist? Some Ork variant lists in the NetEA Army List Compendium use the Bommer: 7.4 BLOOD AXE KOMMANDANT UG SKRAGGA MORKRUMPS’S KORPS ORK ARMY ...

The Daemon characters (at least the Khorne one) from Warmaster are smaller than the Greater Daemons, roughly about DC 2, so you should be fine with those from an aesthetic point of view. As Markconz points out, though, they are smaller than the stats imply. That has some implications, like LOS and f...

I think the OP refers to the Vanquisher being optional for no cost in the Steel Legion list. I do not know the reason for this, but maybe the designers did not want to exclude old players' collections on account of a new model. Anyway, the Leeman Russ Company sold (still) by GW has the Vanquisher in...

Excellent initiative. I'll see if I have spares or "oddities" in excess. I do know of some, but I'll make sure before I post here.
