Once the current Steel Legion and Baneblade reviews are closed a look at one of the other Guard lists will be next, this seems as good a one as any!

I don't recall any proposals to change the speed of artillery? Points yes, armour yes..... The Emperor is 300pts in NetEA and not used, 200pts in EUK and not used, 150pts is the next logical step and as low as we can go. I'm still of the view Slow & Steady needs to be changed but the ERC bit the...

Is a mini update with those changes going to get accepted so easily? Steve54, Onyx, Kyuss and Largo were quite opposed previously. Many of the updates are just lifted from the EUK list or are the next step where it appears the EUK changes haven't gone quite far enough. We've been testing the Banebl...

Sorry for going off topic, Rug! I think your plan of action looks great. I would consider throwing Valks on the list if you're doing an audit in the future, but I already made my case on that. Thanks for the hard work! Trouble is the SL list has been in use for ten years and Valkyries have never be...

This thread has gone off topic, please can people comment on the first post rather than making specific requests and comments regarding units. Chimera as an upgrade was captured as an update a long time ago, its in for 100pts as far as I'm concerned, it's just matter of whether people want a mini-up...

The following upgrades see use in the EUK list: Griffons @ 50pts Heavy Support @ 100pts Ogryns @ 50pts Hydra @ 50pts Snipers @ 25pts ea Suggests EUK upgrade prices would be better as a start with the rest coming down another 25pts on top of that, in which case the BB upgrade would be 150pts. I'd con...

A Baneblade upgrade would be nice.....

Thanks for all the hard work! Extremely impressive!

The Volcano Cannon is consistently 90cms across all lists and the Shadowsword is also in numerous lists, it's also a key piece of the Imperial Guard armoury. Changing the range of the Shadowsword Volcano Cannon would take a tremendous amount of rebalancing and I'm not sure it's necessary. TBH I'm no...

I'll try to have a crack with the two shots option to try them out again. Personally, if a shooting upgrade to the main gun is preferred, then the 2BP option seemed to best fit with the fluff. Makes the enemy spread out and (in a Co) adds extra BMs prepping them for the troops to assault. IIRC ther...

I never once said sit in the deployment zone. regardless are we trying to fit fluff, give it a role relative to the other variants, or make it actually usable here? I think that the 2x BB cannon shot works well on #3! To fit fluff the Baneblade would need to be markedly better and probably more exp...

Has "split the points cost so Baneblades are cheaper" been considered? Eg: Baneblade Company - 350 points (may replace Baneblades with Shadowswords for 50pts each) And have 'em as 150pts for loners. It has, they become far too cheap and silliness ensues. Are there some batreps of this non...

If the goal is to "make a Baneblade worth taking at points N in Steel Legion" then yeah, 2x shots may do that (or at least is somewhat more attractive) If the goal is to "make Baneblades have a distinct role and use" and/or "fits the fluff more" then probably not so mu...

We can't really beef up the Baneblade's ff without infringing on the role and USP of the Stormhammer The ff of the Stormsword, Doomhammer, and Hellhammer would all also need reviewing as these should probably be better than the Baneblade too being dedicated siege tanks, not to mention Stormlords and...

If they're really stuck I use clippers to butcher the base avoiding the models.
